Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2).  The Software Engineer will analyze user and system requirements to inform software design, performance expectations, and technical feasibility. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, including enhancing existing systems with new features and capabilities. Additionally, the candidate will develop and optimize data queries and database interactions, ranging from simple retrievals to complex data processing logic.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Linux environment.
• Experience with Jira and GitLab.
• Experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, enabling automated, repeatable deployments.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Security.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
