Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer shall develop, enhance, and prototype compliance and business processing analytics and tools. Develop new methods for automating compliance functions and improve existing methods. The Software Engineer will investigate, integrate, and test compliance modernization Machine Learning/AI algorithms and research proof-of-concepts in the RD environment. The Software Engineer will develop models and implement appropriate metrics and monitoring of developed tools, functions, and data flows.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have experience with Python.
• Must be experienced in Exploratory Data Analysis.
• Experience with Java and Scala.
• Experience with MapReduce.
• Must be experienced developing in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Lucene, JEXL, SQL, JSON.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning Models (building and monitoring).
• Knowledge of Random Forest (ability to do feature development).
• Proficient with Git/GitLab.
• Proficient with Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with Scikit-learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in math, science, statistics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-four (24) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
