Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer shall provide full-stack Java software development; engineer end-to-end serverless architecture utilizing the AWS ecosystem; and provide the overall design, development, and deployment of applications to meet the customers’ evolving needs.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Possesses Cloud certification
• Experience in using scripting languages (e.g. Python and Scala)
• Skilled with big data processing frameworks (e.g. Pig, MapReduce and Spark)
• Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, and data mining.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java
• Experience with DBA, PostgreSQL and SQL
• Experience with Elasticsearch

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.

OR

• PhD in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.

OR

• (ND+12) twelve years of experience on a project of similar type, scope, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
