Software Integration Engineer – Level 4

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Integration Engineer (Level 4). The Software Integration Engineer provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. The Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for the test, evaluation, integration, and troubleshooting of the HPC software stack and related system issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience with integration, evaluation, and system administration of HPC systems
• Experience troubleshooting HPC system problems
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools, such as Salt and Ansible
• Familiar with system monitoring tools, such as Ganglia and Nagios
• Experience with or willingness to learn development of Python applications (REST services, microservices, etc.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience supporting HPC large-scale systems and customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and ten (10) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Five (5) years of full time, directly related, computer science experience that can be substituted for a degree, plus 10 (10) years demonstratable experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
