System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Administrator (Level 2) to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology systems. The System Administrator will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 (escalation) assistance in identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems as well as collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies. The System Administrator will also monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Strong experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with scripting and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (automate build, test, and deployment procedures).
• Ensuring system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls.
• Current knowledge of DevOps trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.  

OR

• Fifteen (15) years of relevant professional experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
