System Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer – Level 2. The System Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of data models and ontologies. The candidate shall serve as the technical authority, guiding the evolution of project frameworks and ensuring reliable data services.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Generate schemas for graph databases, ensuring optimal relationship modeling and query performance.
• Experience in leading agile development models
• Working knowledge of NiFi
• Knowledge of structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON)
• Hands-on experience with MySQL/NoSQL
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Spark.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Highly desired experience with Java and Splunk
• Experience in leading agile development models
• Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments
• Highly desired working knowledge of smart data systems and entitlements
• Experience with current and evolving dataflow and reporting solutions
• Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Nineteen (19) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
