System Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 2).  The System Engineer will be responsible for analyzing user’s requirements, draft concept of operations documents, and use high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The System Engineer will also be responsible for analyzing system requirements and lead design and development activities—developing  system design alternatives that consider life cycle cost, reuse, complexity, risk, system expansion, and growth.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java development.
• Working knowledge of smart data systems.
• Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments.
• Able to conduct end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize system operations.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and leading Agile development models.

QUALIFICATIONS:

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of systems engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Nineteen (19) years of systems engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
