System Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 3).  The System Engineer will use their skills in both physical and virtual server environments supporting infrastructure management, including managing kernels; installing and maintaining operating systems; and configuring hardware/software utilizing monitoring techniques. The System Engineer shall also perform account creations; scanning in accordance with approved tools; execute storage data migrations from Legacy NetApp equipment to the latest storage solutions; and troubleshoot and sustain the operational health of the infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong experience with Linux and Unix (supporting Active Directory w/Centrify integration for Linux systems).
• Experience with RHEL7+, Windows 2012+, and VMware ESXi servers in a virtual enclave environment.
• Experience with McAfee and Nessus Agent software.
• Experience with RedHat Satellite and WSUS servers.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT-11 Certificate

OR

• Twenty (25) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT-11 Certificate

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
