System Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced  System Engineer – Level 3 to support a large-scale Linux system. Responsibilities include installation of software, daily operations for computer, network, memory, and storage system components, application support, and troubleshooting. The System Engineer – Level 3 will maintain system security integrity and configure network components, as well as implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
• Experience with Containers/Cloud environments
• Storage management expertise
• Experience with virtualization and automated tools
• Experience with IP networking and Firewalls

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and six (6) years of experience as a system engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. 

OR

• Ten (10) years of experience as a system engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
