User Experience Designer – Level 2

Description

Responsible for leading the plan, design, and development activities to create the user experience for devices, tools and systems. Responsible for establishing interactive conventions, assisting in gathering user requirements, mocking up user experiences, participating in trade-off discussions with development teams and subject matter experts, analyzing tool sets, creating screen mock-ups and helping customers to imagine new kinds of interactive techniques and technologies.  Applies visualization and screen design expertise to create a successful user experience.

Required Skills:

• Operate in an agile development environment requiring the delivery of User Experience feedback.
• Conduct User Experience research and optimization.
• Partner with diverse client stakeholders to gather insights and drive strategic design recommendations across cross-functional teams.
• Review final implementation with front-end developers to ensure design standards are followed.
• Create final visual designs, storyboards, interaction flows, and interface guidelines.
• Take a user-centered approach in crafting design solutions that meet both user needs and product strategy requirements.
• Partner with Product Owners to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end design process by capturing customer requirements, guiding the design team, and resolving client problems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in several diverse engineering teams to conduct User Experience research and optimization.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of experience in User Experience Design programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus eight (8) years of experience in User Experience Design programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
